Maximal Green Sequences of Exceptional Finite Mutation Type Quivers
نویسنده
چکیده
Maximal green sequences are particular sequences of mutations of quivers which were introduced by Keller in the context of quantum dilogarithm identities and independently by Cecotti–Córdova–Vafa in the context of supersymmetric gauge theory. The existence of maximal green sequences for exceptional finite mutation type quivers has been shown by Alim–Cecotti–Córdova–Espahbodi–Rastogi–Vafa except for the quiver X7. In this paper we show that the quiver X7 does not have any maximal green sequences. We also generalize the idea of the proof to give sufficient conditions for the non-existence of maximal green sequences for an arbitrary quiver.

The Existence of a Maximal Green Sequence is not Invariant under Quiver Mutation
This note provides a specific quiver which does not admit a maximal green sequence, and which is mutation-equivalent to a quiver which does admit a maximal green sequence. This provides a counterexample to the conjecture that the existence of maximal green sequences is invariant under quiver mutation. The proof uses the ‘scattering diagrams’ of Gross-Hacking-Keel-Kontsevich to show that a maxim...

The exchange graph of a quiver is the graph of mutation-equivalent quivers whose edges correspond to mutations. The exchange graph admits a natural acyclic orientation called the oriented exchange graph. Building on work of Iyama, Reiten, Thomas, and Todorov, we show that this directed graph is a semidistributive lattice by using the isomorphism to the lattice of functorially finite torsion cla...

Fomin and Zelevinsky [FZ1] have defined cluster algebras, and developed an interesting and influential theory about this class of algebras. We deal here with a special case of cluster algebras. Let B be an n×n integral skew symmetric matrix, or equivalently a finite quiver QB with n vertices and no loops or oriented cycles of length two. Let u = {u1, . . . , un} be a transcendence basis for F =...
متن کاملQuivers of Finite Mutation Type and Skew-symmetric Matrices
Quivers of finite mutation type have been classified recently in [4]. Main examples of these quivers are the quivers associated with triangulations of surfaces as introduced in [5]. They are also closely related to the representation theory of algebras [1]. In this paper, we study structural properties of finite mutation type quivers. We determine a class of subquivers, which we call basic quiv...
